Over 2.2m euros divided for RTK

Despite some criticism from MPs in the position for failing to implement the marketing revenue plan, the Commission for Business, Work and Transfere has approved the Kosovo Radio Television spending report (RTK) for the January-March 2022 period. At the request of the board of this public media, the commission in question has also approved the Kosovo Radio Television spending programme for April-June 2022 in the amount of 2m and 240 thousand euros.
For the expense report, public media executives have said that during this period they have spent 93 percent of the total budget of 2 million and 240 thousand euros.
The expenses for salaries and additions amounted to 2m 177 thousand and 907 euros, making up 92 percent of total payments.
RTK Board Chairman Besnik Boletini stressed that, in contrast with the past years, there have been budgetary savings and a better RTK performance at this time.
He has said he has cut spending for this year's January-March period, and has demanded that additional means be set aside for Kosovo's budget review RTK.
At this stage, we consider that we have about 79 thousand euros in savings per month. We've also put down large-scale spending where we have no spending on representation, unlike the past. We also made contractions in other small expenditures such as the use of official cars within a 1km perimeter. Some managers who have been with very high salaries have been re-organized and have become a pay reduction. During this quarter, we have faced some difficulties, the main knock on the door by the private masters has been significant. We have about 1.6m euros in debt, and some of the accounts have already come to demand money, as well as threats”, Boletin stressed.
While, Commission Chairman Armend Muja estimated that after a decade for the first time, the public broadcaster has not operated on losses in the first quarter of 2022.
“Yes, almost since 2012 there has been a minus, can we see that in the first quarter of 2022, it's the first time in a decade since RTK doesn't operate at a loss...”, he stressed.
Responding to MP Duda Balje on contracts with special services, Boletin stressed that there are still workers in RTK with the contract on the work, according to him are two such contracts.
There are more contracts for service. But there will be no and no contracts for services that are considered regular. We currently have two such contracts, there are two of the Mustaf Mucaj news representatives and Fadile Kryeziu. It is for these positions that apply to service contracts, because they come once or twice a week to deliver the news and have a” working hour, Boletini said.
As for RTK's debts, Commission Chairman Armendi Muja cited some of the debts for lunch and dinner, which had an interesting question: “I don't know, could I just borrow some bread? This is too bad”
A debt that usually comes to my report is to a restaurant, 871 euros. Logically, you don't owe me to eat fish, that's only in RTK... 2500 euros, still owe me, do you know if there's any chance of eating a loan or, a public institution? This is looking pretty bad”, Muja said.
For this, Muja received an answer from President Boletini, and stressed that this is an abuse that has occurred with RTK's budget over the years.
These costs, I believe, will happen again, and the matter of representation and lunches and dinners in fish restaurants and others will happen again. This is one form of abuse with RTK's budget that has occurred over the years. So this will not happen again”, Boletini said.
Meanwhile, in this report, financial official in RTK Halil Brahimaj said that only 26 percent of the marketing revenue plan has been realised.
For this quarter, there are 276 thousand euros and we have accomplished only 26 percent”, Bajrami said.
MP from the Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Korenica, called “Huq” such planning.
You've made about 270 thousand euros. I think this is an extremely large income failure, so it would have to be targeted by 80-90 percent, because you don't have tools and you don't have people. The idea is to realise the planning you do through the budget, because they are inflows that you then target certain expenses”, Kornica said.
In addition, MP Korenica also raised the issue of a release to the public media on April 1st. He has asked public television leaders whether it is true and whether they have taken measures for false news broadcast in RTK on April 1st for the appointment of Eddie Rama at NATO's helm.
“False Lami on April 1st, Edi Rama at the helm of NATO, what have you taken to prevent such cases?”, Corencia said.
For this, the chairman of the RTK Board admitted that such is the launch occurred and said he has sought to take action, just as measures were taken against a post that was published weeks ago on the RTK Web site, and therefore the web editor has been suspended.
When the case (of publishing for President Vjosa Osmani) occurred, I have directed an e-mail to the director's taskman and have asked that the judicial measures be taken in force and that such cases be sanctioned by a similar standard. And so it is. So this is a new standard set up in RTK, it's bad and scandalous what happened, but the measures have been taken and will continue to be taken for any wrongdoing that will occur at RTK”, Boletini said.
For this release, RTK's chief-in-chief task officer was said to have resigned from the editor-in-chief's task manager.
Meanwhile, review of the annual financial report by the Information and Private Agency for 2021 has been postponed for next week.
