A 13-year-old boy from Minnesota, in May, will graduate from Bachelor at the University of Minnesota, even planning to do his doctorate.
Tanner said the next step in his education will be the physics doctorate program.
The boy's mother, Michelle Tanner, said that he taught himself to read at an age when most children were still learning how to tie shoes.
He was beginning to read when he was probably only three years old. We said: Oh, well, that's interesting. You're reading. We didn't teach you to read”, she told KSTP-TV, following Clankosova. tv
Tanner started reading college-level textbooks at the age of 9 and two years later graduated from the Nordal Community College with a scientific degree.
It's amazing. It's been a crazy trip to get here, but it's just been such a beautiful experience”, Tanner said.
He said he hopes to get his Ph.D. back to college.
“I hope to become a professor at the University of Minnesota in order to spread this joy and passion for physics with other people”, he said.
