Zelensky: Two years since Ukraine recorded its first case with COVID, 1 week since Russia attacked us

Ukraine's defence lines are standing against the Russian attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said, adding that there had been no breaks in Moscow's bombing of Ukraine since midnight, reports The Guardian, broadcast Periscopi.

“We have nothing to lose except our freedom”, Zelenskiy said, adding that Ukraine was receiving daily supplies with weapons from its international allies.

He has since stressed that it has been two years since Ukraine recorded its first case, Covid, but ironising that “has been a week since another virus attacked,” , alluding to Russia's invasion.

As reported by Reuters, Zelenskiy said that the change in Russia's tactics and grants of civilians in cities testified that Ukraine was successful in resisting Moscow's original plan to claim a quick victory through a ground attack. /Periscopi/
