According to sources, Zelenskiy specifically asked Beiden for further efforts to separate Russia from international trade and continue to target the Russian elite after the US has continued to add more oligarchs and their families to the list of sanctions.
Zelenskiy also cited closing Russia's access to international waterways. While Biden showed him the latest decisions he would announce, including a move to lift favoured trade status from Russia to the US.
Zelenskiy thanked Beden for the measures, but also urged him to continue to increase economic pressure on the Kremlin.
