Xhavit Haliti demands 200 thousand euros on Haki Abbas, who accused him of postwar murder

Otherwise, according to the June 7th 2021 indictment, plaintiff Xhavit Haliti has indicted Haki Abaz for slander and has proposed issuing the measure of security.

The indictment said that on May 27, 2021, the indictee Abazi through “Kanal 10” on the “show, set Time”, declared:

According to the indictment, these statements on the part of indictees Abazi were reportedly made in order to discredit the plaintiff Haliti's reputation as elected MP, deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly and deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), and with such statements the indictee has violated 02/ Law provisions L-65 Against Clander and Falling Article 1 points 1 points).

On this basis, the plaintiff Haliti demands the court to approve in all his request and to impose on the defendant Abazi, who on behalf of the compensation of the unmajor damage to deal with the amount of 200 thousand euros with the legal interest of 8%, which will be calculated by taking the case.

Also, with the indictment it requires that the indictee be charged with at least 3 daily newspapers on all national televisions making an apology for libel against plaintiff Haliti.

According to the indictment, plaintiff Haliti has always sought to approve the plaintiff's request and establish the security measure through which the indictees are prohibited from publishing any statements, prejudice, reporting or information concerning me the prosecution until the court's conduct of a trial.

In this regard, the plaintiff has also demanded that the security measures through which the indictee is ordered to wipe out all statements concerning Xhavit Halit, published in written media, social media, and toʹdule his statements, which have only been published or broadcast until the conduct of a court lawsuit.

According to the response to the proposal for issuing the security measure of February 7th 2022, it is said that counterproposor Haki Abazi has considered the indictment and proposal for the appointment of a security measure to be completely groundless and unexplained, as these relate to the confrontation that is part of an exchange that is initiated in the presence of media at the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs meeting where proposator Haliti is a member while anti-posor Abazi is chairman in the commission.
