Xhafer Gashi elected chairman of the LDK branch in Obilic

The news has made it known The LDK, where it announces Gashi has received the trust of 101 delegates in the extraordinary Assembly.

“Today, delegates from the LDK branch seat in Obilic, following a democratic and transparent process, and in the presence of many of the citizens of Obilic, elected unanimously to head of the branch. Xhafer Gashi, the current chairman of the Obilik municipality,”, says the party's announcement.

Among other things, the announcement reportedly indicates that today's assembly shows the political power of the LDK, shows democratic organisation, selection as the sole decision-making tool and the party's return to joint membership.

In the past, Xhafer Gashi was part of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and had led the Qyterare Initiative for Obilqi, which he founded after leaving the AAK.

Meanwhile, as of February 24th this year Xhafer Gashi has become part of the LDK.
