The US Treasury Department has said 24 March that it has expanded the list of sanctioned, including Russian defence companies, 328 members of State Duma and the chief of the largest banking institution in Russia, Sberbank.
Today, this is the last decision to impose serious costs on the Russian Federation for illegal and groundless war against Ukraine”, the American Treasury has said.
This decision is linked to similar actions taken by the European Union, the United Kingdom and Canada, and reflects the continued unity to hold (Russian President Vladimir) Putin responsible for fighting”, he has said.
The list includes Sberbank chief Herman Greff, who has been a close man with Putin since the 1990s.
The statement is said to establish the property of all sanctioned in the United States.

The Kremlin's action has stirred anger and has been condemned in many parts of the world.
