'No vote, Selmanaj: LDK doesn't mind same-gender marriage

LDK MP Driton Selmanaj has indicated why the LDK did not participate in the vote for the new Civil Code. He says the VV did not have this code either in their programme during the elections. We requested clarifications from them and there was no such thing. VV still believe it's not a party but just a move. For votes they flirted [...]
We requested clarifications from them and there was no such thing. VV still believe it's not a party but just a move. For votes they have flirted with various social categories in Kosovo. So I think it's in their interest that some topics remain taboo.”, he said on the dPt show at Fidan in T7.
Selmanaj said the LDK has no problem allowing same-sex marriage.
“It's not a problem for LDK to marry persons of the same gender. We have a clear pro-Western orientation, and these rights take the developed countries as their well-being”
“Yes, there has been no problem for LDK to vote on. But we asked for clarification”, he added.
He also says the VV did not vote for the LDK resolution for dialogue, so they were not present in the hall.
There was grief over not passing the resolution proposed by us. That resolution had only two points. The first was for the prime minister to lead those talks. The second was to have seats in the UN and get recognition from Serbia. VV has a unified majority. Why should the opposition make you majority? In fact, we didn't believe that there were so many differences within the VV to produce votes like that”, he concluded.
