The establishment of corridors that would enable the population to leave war-hit cities has been difficult in recent days, with reports saying Russia is bombarding them.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, in Turkey, a meeting will be held between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kulebo.
According to the UN, 406 civilians have been killed and another 801 have been wounded since the launch of the Russian occupation in Ukraine on 24 February. The UN acknowledges that the exact numbers most likely are “higher”.
