In a Facebook writing, Murati has said that the ECS has proposed minimum wage of 240 euros per month, while the government has proposed 1.5 euros per hour, or 264 euros per month.
According to Murati, the proposal has received the necessary votes due to no support from union representatives.
The union's “objectability does not make sense and cannot be explained since none of the workers they represent is affected by the minimum wage, because their salaries are visible above the minimum wage level. All it accomplishes with this non-vote is that private sector workers will continue to have the minimum wage 170 euro”, Murati has said.
Unions have warned that they will accept no minimum wage under 350 or 400 euros.
In the Union of Kosovo Unions, they have not been announced in TIME calls to comment on the issue, until the publication of the article.
The minimum wage in the country is 130-170 euros for more than 10 years.
