In a statement published on Facebook, Ukraine's General Staff of Armed Forces reported that the Uralvagonzajvod manufacturer had to stop production at the factory, “due to lack of equipment produced abroad”.
The Ukrainian company for military information and consultancy, Defense Express, has reported that Uralvagonzajvoda is the only factory that performs tanks' assembly.
According to her, this factory uses parts produced by the West.
In Russian media, no such report was reported, and Radio Free Europe has failed to confirm the information in the Ukrainian statement.
