An agreed ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine to allow civilians to leave the city of Marioupolis is not fully respected, according to the city council.
In a message posted on the telegram, the council said fighting is taking place in the Zaporizhja region, where the humanitarian corridor ends, the BBC writes.
Ukrainian officials are negotiating with the Russian side to confirm the temporary ceasefire along the entire evacuation route, the message said.
The Russians are still bombing us and using artillery. It's crazy,” told the BBC the deputy editor of Marioupolis, Serhiy Orlov.
There is no truce in Marioupol and no truce all the way. Our civilians are about to escape, but they can't escape under grants”, he said. /
