The Russian Federation government has approved a list of foreign states and territories Monday that conduct hostile acts against Russia, its companies and citizens, according to the TASS agency.

The list of countries considered hostile include Albania, the United States and Canada, the EU states, the United Kingdom (including Jersey, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Northern Macedonia, and also Japan, South Korea, Australia, Hungary, Sweden, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan

According to the agency “Tass”, the countries and territories mentioned on the list decided or joined sanctions against Russia after the start of the “a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine”.

Russia has even decided to take action against these countries.

The government noted that according to this decree, Russian citizens and companies, the state itself, its regions and municipalities that have currency duties on foreign creditors from the list of non-friendly countries will be able to pay them in rubles.

The new temporary procedure applies to payments exceeding 10 million rubles per month (or a similar sum in foreign currency).

This is a response Russia makes to the countries above, causing debts to be paid in Rubla, not dollars or euros.
