According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the ceasefire will take place by 10:00 p.m. local time in the capital Kyev, as well as in the towns of Harkiv, Mariupol and Sumi.
All these cities are under attack by Russian forces.
The Ukrainian side has not confirmed the truce yet.
During the weekend, two attempts to open evacuation corridors for civilians from Marioupolis failed.
Ukrainian officials blamed Russia, saying that even during the hours agreed on for the ceasefire, it continued shelling.
