Kiev believes the reported attack, which comes from Ukraine's airspace, is an attempt to include Belarus in the Russian invasion.
Russian planes are said to have flown from Dubroystsia Airport to Belarus, entered Ukraine's airspace and then attacked in the direction of the town of Copani.
A statement says: “This is a provocation! The goal is to include the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war against Ukraine”.
For Sky News, the immediate verification of these claims has been impossible.
The incident is thought to have occurred at 12:30 local times.
