New sanctions apply to operators in the technology sector.
The US Treasury Department said in a statement it has imposed sanctions on 21 companies and 13 individuals.
Sanctions include Microsoft, the largest Russian microelectric producer and exporter, as well as the largest chip maker in Russia.
“Expanded sanctions include the air and sea transport and electronics sector. Biden's new movement allows Washington to impose sanctions on all persons or subjects linked to those 48x1> sectors, the report said.
