Pentagon spokesman John Kirby has said that about 20 percent of the Russian forces that had withdrawn from Kiev have been headed to Belarus during the last 24 hours.
He said the Pentagon's assessment is that the Russians will supply the military troops and will probably reposition elsewhere in Ukraine, while adding that at this stage, the reposition of the Russian forces is no longer becoming any bit of a preference, CNN writes.
On the other hand, Kirby said that if Russia is about claims of de-progression, they should take their troops to their garrison in Russia, while adding that Russian forces are still attacking Kiev with air strikes, shellings and artillery fires.
