Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted on Facebook to the partial elections in 6 municipalities in Albania.
Rama wishes calm Sunday as he invites the citizens of 6 municipalities in Albania to exercise the fundamental democratic right to choose.
Rama's comment on the situation of the war in Ukraine is not lacking, says “East of Europe, is being estimated not to lose that right along with democracy”.
654,538 Albanian citizens will now head ballot boxes to elect new mayors in Vora, Shkodra, Durres, Debar, Lushnje and Rrogozhina, among P candidates S, PD and coalition “Freedom House” made up of LSI and PDK.
Those elected to these votes will have a 1-year term. 10,134 voters vote for the first time. In 6 municipalities, polling stations will be open by 7:00 p.m.
At all polling stations it will be electronic identification, while in Voter and counting it will be electronic, with the result being made known immediately after the election ends. For the other five municipalities, the result is expected to be released within 48 hours or earlier, CEC leader Ilirjan Celibashi announced several days ago.
Partial local elections were decreed by President Ilir Meta on January 20th this year.
