She said her insistence was that this issue be viewed by security prism, especially after the current situation that has created Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“We are insisting that NATO membership be viewed by security prism, and not only by prism of political criteria, because today security prism is the most important of all. Therefore, I have also written to the president of the United States and communicated with other states, given recent developments and that Kosovo is the most pro-NATO state in the world. Membership of all countries in this part of Europe in NATO means more security and stability”.
Osmani said he implied that the final decision is unanimously taken by all NATO member states, and that for that reason he said they are working with the four states that do not recognise Kosovo.
This means that we just have to sit down and wait and that we don't take any step towards those countries that didn't know us. On the contrary, we are working hard with these four states and our allies”.
The president said it is Kosovo's moment to join NATO until membership in the Council of Europe said “is a priority priority priority” in terms of international organisations.
In a press proposal, Osman also spoke of the 3 April Serbian elections, saying the right of Serbs who have dual citizenship and Serbia's right to organise elections in Kosovo are different issues, but that it is necessary to respect the country's sovereignty. /Gazza Express
