The Northern Macedonia Assembly has adopted a declaration Thursday condemning Russian military attacks against Ukraine.
For the declaration, 100 deputies voted, while three were against; two party deputies “E Majta” and a Serbian Democratic Party MP.
The declaration was proposed by the Liberal-Democrat Party, the Democratic Renewal and MPs Monica Zaykova and Maja Moracanin.
MP Zaykova, wearing the colors of the Ukrainian flag, said that “the price of wars throughout history is being paid by innocent people”.
“Kong, as the highest institution in a parliamentary democracy, should not remain silent to developments and urgently condemn the military aggression taking place in the heart of Europe and express a clear commitment to respecting Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. There is a rule in diplomacy that any silence is consent or consent, so we dare not silence”, Zaykova said.

VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Milososki said he condemns the Russian attack on Ukraine.

So, even our state leaders have to work so that we can have our own foreign policy, without influence from other states”, Milososki has declared.
Serbian Democratic Party MP Ivan Stoilkovic called the statement “hispocryritic of politicians”.

Northern Macedonia has joined EU sanctions on Russia, halting all flights from Moscow while other measures have been taken to block Russian companies and business transactions.
North Macedonia's institutions have condemned Russian aggression in Ukraine as “threat to world peace and stability”.
