Miftarian: If the law on participation in foreign wars is abolished, convicts fighting in Syria must be released

Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD) says the Kosovo Assembly should not promote the idea that Kosovo citizens participate in foreign wars. On the contrary, Miftaraj points out that if citizens are allowed to participate in foreign wars, they must free all condemned persons [...]
In addition, in these situations, Miftaraj says criminal procedures should be halted for cases in procedures.
He says that assistance should be provided in other ways, such as through financial assistance.
His full post:
The debate to allow citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to fight in Ukraine should bear in mind that if the Kosovo Parliament abolishes the law through which participation in foreign wars is not considered criminal, at the same time all those Kosovo citizens who are convicted of participation in war in Syria or other states should cease criminal procedures for cases that are in procedures.
In other words, there should be no debate about this subject.
Neither the Kosovo Assembly nor the Government should in no circumstances promote the idea that Kosovo citizens participate in foreign wars, wherever they are.
If the state wants to help a certain state to be part of the coalitions of democratic states to protect human values, let me institutionally do it, whether through financial and humanitarian assistance as possible.
