These pounds had been introduced into Kosovo by North Macedonia illegally via a van, which police had observed and prevented a case of smuggling with goods.
Police reports say that the driver of the vehicle using mountainous terrain has managed to escape, while the vehicle and cargo have been confiscated.
The case is being treated as goods smuggling by police investigators of the East Border Directorate Regional Investigation Unit.
