Dodik earlier threatened that Republika Srpska would take power from the state in the field of defence and security and that its main objective was the Bosnian Armed Forces, but now Border Police and the Intelligence and Security Agency are under attack because of the fact that Serbia's three citizens considered a threat to national security were barred from entering Bosnia, reports Croatian news agency Index.
Between March 12th and 25th, Bosnian border police detained Milos Kovic, a history professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and an accessor of the ideas of Greater Serbia, Goran Petronijevo, a Belgrade lawyer known for protecting criminal Radovan Karadzic before The Hague tribunal, as well as Bratislav Dickic, former commander of the Serbian gendarmerie, who has been identified as one of the organisers of the Montenegrin coup attempt in 2016.
The Bosnian Intelligence Agency prevented them from entering the BiH based on its security assessments and border guards implemented the move, for the great anger of Bosnian Serb officials.
Dodik was exasperated by this, and he warned that he would seek the chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, to send special letters to the Serbian border guards, urging them to change shifts, not to respect established stops, and to allow the entry instead of persons considered a threat to national security, Gazeta Express follows.
When someone announces it comes from Serbia, we will try to cross the shift when Serbs work and thus solve”, Dodik said.
Border police replied that they work exclusively under the law and that they will not allow any political interference in their work.
BiH Border Police <x0). The police's work is managed by the director of the BiH Border Police, not by a politician, even if he comes from the presidency of BiH”, Hina Svevlad Hoffman, adviser to the director, told the agency.
