Orban rejected Zelensky's demands on the European Council “because they are in conflict with Hungary's interests”, Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said in a statement.

Orban, a nationalist, has cultivated close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin in recent years.
