Hoxhaj, following Russia's expulsion from the Council of Europe to apply Kosovo for membership there

Former Kosovo foreign diplomat Enver Hodzija is involved in the debate over possible Kosovo memberships in international organisations under new international circumstances, writes Periscopi newspaper.

Hoxhaj has said Kosovo meets all criteria to be part of the Council of Europe.

On the other hand, Hoxhaj has said new circumstances should be exploited after Russia's expulsion from the Council of Europe and Kosovo apply for membership.

The oldest subx0 body in Europe, the Council of Europe, has not accepted the newest state for 15 years, Kosovo! Of course, Kosovo meets all the criteria to become part of the Council of Europe, but as long as I was foreign minister, we have been able to become a member of the Venice Commission and Development Bank institutions of the Council of Europe! If Kosovo's full membership in the Council of Europe has been blocked for the sake of Russian domination in these organisations, now when Russia has been excluded from this organisation because of the war in Ukraine, it is the ideal time for application and membership!
