The event in Serbia that someone in Berlin described as disgusting, embarrassing and spit on European values did not bother the ambassador to Pristina much the same way.
There are 7 million Serbs, and 2,000 of them on the street, so that in my view some people who are calling irresponsible and spreading hatred do not mean that they are displaying the attitude of all Serbian people”, Rohde told Klan Kosova.
The pro-rus stance, even of Serbian leaders, apparently will not give Kosovo much priority before Serbia even in the eyes of the EU.
I believe in reasonableness, reasonable prevention and, as you know, everyone wants to be part of the European Union and I think the whole region belongs to the EU, that's what my new government has said. This is our priority, and therefore there will be official visits to Kosovo”.
Rohde also commented on the security situation in Kosovo, after the war Russia launched.
If you know very well we are powerful partners in Kosovo, KFOR is here monitoring the situation and I assure you there are no signs of danger at present”.
