In German cities tens of thousands of protesters against Russian aggression in Ukraine

Tens of thousands of protesters demonstrated today in several German cities against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, police and organisers said. In Berlin, protesters gathered near the Brandenburg Gate displayed placards with colors of Ukraine's flag and inscriptions: “Stop Putin” and “Stop the War” (Stop fighting). In Frankfurt, according to police, about 11,000 people expressed solidarity with Ukrainians. [...]

In Frankfurt, according to police, about 11,000 people expressed solidarity with Ukrainians. Protests went quiet and without incident.
Demonstrators waved Ukrainian and European flags and sang “Stop the War”.
Other protests took place in Stuttgart, Leipzig, and Hamburg. They gathered young and old residents but also families with children.
The protests were organised by an alliance of more than 40 human rights organisations, unions and Christian associations.
According to organisers, about 125,000 people have been mobilised throughout the country.
