France prepares to welcome 100,000 Ukrainian refugees

France has launched a national plan for housing preparations for at least 100,000 Ukrainian refugees. “More and more of them [Ukrains] are taking refuge in France or passing transit through our territory,” said Castex.
More than 26 thousand Ukrainian refugees have arrived in France since the beginning of the war, according to Castex.
Among them, 10,000 and 500 have gained temporary position envisioned by the EU's provisional defence policy, activated on March 3rd.
The French prime minister also pledged to help Ukrainian refugees better integrate into France's labour market, with French courses offered at the country's employment agency.
“We are entering a crisis that will last”, said Castex.
