All parliamentary groups of the Kosovo Parliamentary Assembly have condemned Russian aggression over Ukraine, except for the Serbian List, which asked the Assembly to be contained in their statements concerning the situation in Ukraine.

LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, at today's parliamentary session, where the resolution condemning Russian aggression was voted, said that with this resolution Kosovo lists itself alongside major democracies.

Abdixhiku stressed that Europe's security is now in danger after the start of Russian aggression in Ukraine.

The “in Ukraine now eight days are protecting not only the unpaved foundations of a state, not only the right of a people to determine their destiny from oppression. In Ukraine now and eight days are defending all human values -- freedom, peace and law -- values to which our social order country is closely linked even Kosovo. Facing an unprecedented aggression of Europe since the wars of the former Yugoslavia, there was a unified and vocal response of the entire democratic world. No previous event since the end of World War II has been able to unite the democratic world so loud and so clearly. This union brought sanctions, economics, political, cultural and sports... Kosovo naturally and rightly lined up with the democratic world. As a small country, they can affect events of such magnitude, even though they affect us. But because we are very small, this alignment of ours makes even more sense, both symbolic and acting. This alignment gives meaning to our country, the Republic of Kosovo”, Abdixhiku said.

AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri stressed there has been more than a week since the democratic world has witnessed a Russian barbarous attack on the people of Ukraine.

The “are becoming more than a week since the European continent and the democratic world are witnessing a barbarous attack by the Russian Federation against a free nation, a free country, Ukraine, against a sovereign state. It is tragic and destructive that there are still countries and regimes for which human conscience and dignity is only an abstract notion”, he said.

Meanwhile, Serbian List Parliamentary Group chief Igor Sin enemies has invited MPs to show restraint in their statements and the resolution for Ukraine.

“I call on the headship of the Serbian List of All MPs and the Serbian people that we represent in this House, all to refrain from their statements that no one can say threatens the fragile peace that was built in this area, and it is still being built, so I want to stress once again that Serbia and the Serbian people are against conflicts everywhere, especially among brotherly peoples. We oppose anything that leads to the suffering of innocent people indiscriminately innocent people, nation, religion, language, and once again I call on all responsible ones who are leaders of the situation not to promote the situation with irresponsible statements and to give the maximum of responsible political behavior to preserve peace”, he said.

Enis Kerwan from the multiethnic parliamentary group until condemning the Russian invasion into Ukraine, has called for admission of refugees and membership in NATO and the EU as soon as possible.

We express full will in support of Ukraine, Ukrainian people, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. As a parliamentary group, we also condemn Russian aggression against Ukraine and ask the government to provide humanitarian medical assistance, as well as accept refugees from Ukraine”, Kervan said.

The 94-seat coalition has voted the resolution condemning Russian military aggression in Ukraine, but that Serb List deputies did not participate in this vote. /I. Shaban/
