The figures also show that 30,000 of those arriving in the neighbouring country have mental health problems that are considered serious “”, where many of them need support due to trauma. Earlier this day, the United Nations Agency for Refugees (UNHCR) reported that the number of Ukrainians going abroad exceeded 3.5 million.
The agency said more than two million had crossed the border in Poland, while others had travelled to Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova. Hundreds of thousands more have gone further to continental Europe. It has been estimated that millions more have moved within Ukraine after being conquered on February 24.
