According to the minister, aid to Ukraine is a response to the Ukrainian government's direct request and will mainly include canned foods and water.
The goods will be sent to warehouses in Poland and Slovakia, which will supply the Ukrainian government starting early next week, in co-ordination with the UN and the Red Cross.
