In Mitrovica today it is commemorated the massacre that took place on this town's market 23 years ago, where there were victims and hundreds of injuries.
At the time, Serbian forces attacked with mine launchers until the market was packed with people, and six citizens, including them, had children and women, while 128 were injured.
Representatives of municipal institutions and other associations in Mitrovica, family members of victims and martyrs, as well as other citizens, each year gather at the scene in honour of the victims of the market massacre in Mitrovica, which took place 22 years ago.
The health and psychological consequences of this attack by the Serbian Army and police still suffer many of those who were on the market that day.
