Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a televised statement, has said he does not expect much of Monday's meeting between Ukrainian and Russian delegations, CNN reports.
I'll say honestly, as always: I don't believe much in the outcome of this meeting, but let's try it. In order for no citizen of Ukraine to doubt that I, as president, did not try to stop the war when there was even a small chance”, Zelensky said.
He has stated that, <x0, all together, we will protect our state and borders”.
And while our boys are there, the president is here, the chief of staff is here, the prime minister is here, the army is here, the general commander is here”, Zelensky added.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Deputy Interior Minister Evgeny Yenin said talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations would be held Monday morning at local time.
