Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski has warned on Monday that the next 24 hours will be critical of Ukraine, as fighting Russian forces are continuing throughout the country. He made that warning during a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
During the night, several explosions have been heard in the capital, Kiev, and surrounding areas. The Ukrainian Army has announced that its troops managed to repel several attacks by Russian soldiers trying to attack Kiev's suburbs.
During Monday, the United Nations will hold a special emergency session for Ukraine, in which all 193 member states will participate.
Sirens for air strikes were heard in Cherkasy, Dnepro, Kharkiv and Vinnytsya. On the other hand, there were bombings in Chernihiv, reports the BBC, until an injured person was registered.
