A statement on the presidential website said: “Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskiy addresses all citizens of the world, friends of Ukraine, peace and democracy, anyone who wants to join in protecting Ukraine, Europe and the world may come and fight side by side with Ukrainians against Russian war criminals. ”
The statement points out that, according to the Order for Military Service in Ukraine's Armed Forces by citizens of their countries and non-compliance people approved by the decree of Ukraine's President No. 248 of June 10, 2016, foreigners have the right to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces for military service.
Previously it was reported that Russian authorities claim that a delegation has arrived in Belarus, which they think is open for talks with Ukraine.
But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has rejected the offer, saying talks in Minsk could be possible if Russia had not attacked Ukraine from Belarus territory.
However, the Ukrainian president leaves open the possibility of conducting negotiations with Russia in other countries, the BBC writes.
He said: “If there were no aggressive actions from Belarus, we could talk in Minsk. Of course we want peace, we want to meet, we want the war to end. Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Istanbul, Baku we have offered to the Russians. We are open for talks from any other city, from which no missiles are launched against us. Only then can negotiations be fair and can end war”, the Ukrainian president said.
