President Volodymyr Zelenski was clear during a statement. “If Americans are 100% sure that there will be an attack, let us know the evidence”, even though it highlighted that his government is aware that “this danger exists and that the country is willing to respond to”.
But signals show the opposite of peace in that region. While the non-needed personnel of almost every embassy are abandoning their diplomatic headquarters, filling planes together with entrepreneurs who have been investing there for years, the defence ministry has signalled the addition of provocations and destruction of the cease-fire in Donbas, in turn of separatists.
Today, the long-awaited call between US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is envisioned, but tension does not seem to decline, rather it is expected to rise significantly with naval maneuvers announced by the Kremlin in Azov, as well as in the Black Sea, starting on Sunday.
