Turkey issues a call for Putin

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has urged Moscow to stop its attack,

So said in a statement issued by his ministry, writes Al Jazeera.

The ministry said Cavusoglu made his call during telephone talks with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

He added that Cavusoglu had repeated during the call that Ankara was willing to host Russian and Ukrainian leaders for peace talks.
