High spending by oil deputies has sparked numerous reactions. MPs have reportedly been cheating to profit state money.
Jusuf Thaci says that an MP who cheats on Sʹka legitimacy to represent the citizen.
If it's confirmed that any MP/she's been cheating on her travel expenses, she's been making public money through fraud, respectively:
1. He/she should resign from the MP's position, because she no longer has the integrity or legitimacy to represent the citizen.
2. If he/she does not resign, then it is up to the political subject he/she has to remove from the parliamentary group and from the party (since the MP's mandate cannot be taken away). If the party does not take anything against him, it is an accomplice to this fraud.
3. The prosecution and trial should take all necessary measures against him or her MP for fraud and misappropriation of public money illegally, because MPs have no immunity for criminal acts.
While other cases where MPs exploit this right to enable legislation in force without misusing it, this is quite another discussion.”, Thaci wrote in his Facebook account.
