This embassy for Klan Kosovo has stressed that since January 1st, 2021, citizens from the six countries of the Western Balkans, including Kosovo, have a privileged approach to the German labour market, regardless of the well-known German qualification.
“Condition for visa delivery remains the approval of the Federal Labour Agency. Within a calendar year, 25,000 approvals for such applications, 5,500 per year, can be issued to Kosovo for application. This number corresponds somewhat to the number of visas of this category released before the pandemic”.
In addition, it is said that due to enormous demand for visa terms aimed at starting employment according to the Western Balkans regulator, which clearly exceeds the terms that are available and to ensure equal access during the application for a term, since December 2021 these terms are given every month through a lots procedure.
The embassy accepted 56,639 applications for the cast procedure in December 2021 and in January of this year a total of 48.962 applications. Of all the records, from the random computer-run generator in a lot procedure have been selected those who receive a term for application in next month”.
The embassy has obviously increased visa requirements capacity in the past years, so that the visa office is now one of the largest German offices worldwide. But the demand further exceeds our capacities and the waiting time can't unfortunately be missed”, the embassy's responses reported.
