After the government's meeting, Swiss President Ignazio Cassis said his country would immediately freeze the assets of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Misustin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as well as 367 EU-sponsored individuals last week.
In a statement, the Swiss government said it would implement sanctions in co-ordination with the European Union, adding that these sanctions are principled good and financial sanctions.
