Just before the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, on a special visit to Pristina was British Prime Minister for Trade Martin Vickers' envoy. He held meetings with President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca and Minister for Trade Roseta Hajdari. With all these high representative institutions spoke of Kosovo's development in economy, trade and other areas, focusing on co-operation with the United Kingdom.

Vickers at the meeting with President Osmani focused on relations between the two countries, which were assessed excellent with opportunities for further enlargement. President Osmani praised Great Britain's help to Kosovo, hoping for its further intensifying.

MP Vickers also met with Prime Minister Kurti, who stressed that the UK is an irreplaceable partner of Kosovo. Vickers praised the Government of the Republic of Kosovo's actions in fighting corruption and added that Prime Minister Johnson, with the appointment of an envoy to the Western Balkans, is showing that we take the region very seriously.

“Although we are no longer part of the European Union, be assured that we will continue to stay close and help”, he stressed.

In addition, Vickers did not leave without meeting either Chairman Konjufca, where political developments, interparliamentary co-operation, economic growth and trade between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom were discussed. Chairman Konjufca thanked the United Kingdom for its continued support and continues to give Kosovo in all phases of statehood, as well as on the road to development and strengthening international consciousness.

Vickers confirmed the continued support of the United Kingdom for Kosovo, as well as commitment to intensifying co-operation between the two countries.

And Martin Vickers all along met with Minister of Industry, Trade and Trade Roseta Hajdari, Vickers, and confirmed the continued support of the United Kingdom for Kosovo, as well as the commitment to boosting economic co-operation between the two countries.
