Spahiu: German Ambassador Misinformed by Serbian propaganda for Xhafer Deva event

“This is the culture of memory in the wrong way!”, wrote the German ambassador on Twitter, calling not to distort the truth about the Holocaust.

Political analyst Nexmetdin Spahiu has come against this statement. In a statement on Democracy, Spahiu has said that Rohde has been informed of the Xhafer Deva event.

According to him, Serbia has been campaigning propagand against Xhaferor Deva, as he was the ideator of Kosovo Independence.

Spahiu has said Xhafer Deva's house should be renovated, adding that it is a rare monument in Kosovo.

The German Ambassador “is misled for the Xhafer Deva event by Serbia's propaganda, which has undertaken a campaign everywhere in international institutions against his image. Of course, Xhafer Deva's house must be renovated. This house is a rare monument in Kosovo. It's a Barok-style house, the only one in Mitrovica, maybe Kosovo. In addition to cultural architectural values, it has the value of being the home of Xhafer Deva, one of the figures with the emblems of history. The Serbian government has received such powerful propaganda against Xhafer Deva because in Prizren's Third League, in a way, he is the father of the idea for Kosovo independence and here it hurts Serbia, so Serbia's government has undertaken such a campaign to tarnish the picture of the one who has given this idea and the very idea of Kosovo independence<1>, Spahiu has said.

He has asked the Kosovo government not to retreat from the idea of rebuilding the house.

You can't judge a personality based on both or three propaganda books you read. First, Xhafer Deva has been the closest American associate to the collapse of the communist system in Albania, and he has gone there with the help of the Jewish lobby because of his contribution to the second world war for the salvation of Jews in Albania. The number of Jews in Albania from the beginning until the end of World War II has been fivefold, as it has not only protected the Jews of Albania and Kosovo, but also the Jews coming from countries like Bulgaria and Serbia. Therefore, the Kosovo government should undertake a campaign in response to the Government of Serbia and not give up the restoration of Xhafer Deva's house. Dzigrim of Xhafer Deva's image denigrates the entire Kosovo political class and the entire history of Kosovo”, Spahiu has said.

Otherwise, Serbia has asked the EU and UNDP not to give money to restore Xhafer Deva's home in Mitrovica, which has started for a week now.

According to Culture and Information Minister in Serbia Maja Gojkovq, Deva “has prepared and committed crimes against Serbs and Jews”.

“This is a notorious Nazi co-ordinationist who was active in forming the SS Skenderbeu Division, known for preparing and committing crimes against the Serbian and Jewish population”, Gojkovic said, stressing that he has written to the responsible in the EU and UNDP on the issue.
