China has criticised the West for imposing its sanctions on Russia and has said it will not do so, calling the measures once a key and effective for resolving problems, adding that it always opposes any illegal sanctions and unilable ones, writes CNN,
Unlike China, Japan said on Wednesday it would impose sanctions on Russia and its individuals related to the regions controlled by pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine, after Moscow ordered troops to be introduced into rebel republics.
Japan strongly condemns Russia's actions “that interfere with Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which violates international law”, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said.
The decision is the same as measures taken by the United States, Great Britain and the European Union.
