Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhacka announced today the Albanian government's decision to join individual sanctions for freezing individual assets starting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Along with these measures, considering the unprecedented situation created, following the European-level intervention measures of the Republic of Albania will be closed by today's evening for all Russian air operators or any aircraft registered in Russia, except when such flights are carried out for emergency reasons, humanitarian or medical purposes or interstate needs.
