Russia has launched a delegation to Belarus for talks with the Ukrainian side. But this seems to be just propaganda to introduce the Kremlin as a choice through dialogue, because Belarus is Putin's ally in aggression against Ukraine, while nothing of Kiev has been said about these conversations.
The Russian delegation reportedly has arrived in Belarus for talks with Ukrainians, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the Guardian reports.
According to him, the delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence and other departments, including the presidential administration.
“We will be ready to start these negotiations in Gomel,” said the spokesman.
Belarus's Foreign Ministry said it has prepared everything necessary for the meeting and is now committed to resolving protocol issues.
