10 years from the Restelic tragedy, former KSF chief remembers the event and rescue of Amsera Reka

Today, it has been ten years since the tragedy of Restelica, a village in the municipality of Dragas, where 10 inhabitants lost their lives as a result of the fall of the snow avalanche. Dozens of homes were destroyed by this natural disaster, while disaster survived by Amsera Reka, who at that time [...]
Shemsy Syla, who at the time was commander of the KSF Crisis Interconnection Unit, has recalled the tragic event, saying he had triple responsibility.
In my multi-year military work, there have been many moments from which my memory cannot be shared. But the Restelic event is a memory that I experience even now. At the time, as commander of the Interconnection Unit for Response to the KSF Crisis, in the face of the tragedy storm on the one hand, on the other, leadership of wanted soldiers, serving as the bridge between the event and the media, the church side-by-side the three-x1> responsibility, he stated.
The eye has claimed that he never forgets the moment Amsera Reka was saved.
That tragic day lay long hours in search, under terrible weather conditions, under the terrible pressure of the idea that a whole family is dying out under the terrible avalanche. When our hope began to fade, a light turned our hearts. She was the little Amsera, who with her clean soul survived both the cold and the tragedy and the death of all members of her family. I never forget that moment! Her breathing was all we ever dreamed of! With tears of joy and pain at the same time, we recovered from the ruins of her home, the little Amsera, who today, 10 years later, has become a big girl with a clean soul and an unprecedented personality”, he says among other things.
In Facebook writing, Syla has announced that Amsera Reka still keeps in touch.
With Amsera, I still keep in touch. She now lives with her grandparents in Italy, under the care and love she deserves. I'm so happy when she writes to me. I'm happy for life, I'm sad about the fate of an entire family who died without having a farewell opportunity! Today, the Reka family members of Restelica disappeared from the terrible avalanche that took them in the early hours of the morning! Let their souls become light, and Amsera, now a big girl, remember them with the most beautiful memories”.
Otherwise, the rescue action was organised by the Kosovo Security Force, but reaching the site of tragedy was difficult, due to weather conditions and heavy snow.
