After 14 years of independence, Kosovo has recognised 117 states, with the latest recognition from Israel.

But who recognised Kosovo as the Republic the day after declaring independence?

Afghanistan, Great Britain, the United States, France, Albania, Turkey, Taiwan, as well as the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation recognised Kosovo as an independent, sovereign and democratic state yet without filling 24 hours as a state.

However, there are 79 states that have not yet recognised Kosovo as a state, among them five EU member states, as well as two influential states in the world -- China and Russia -- writes Clankosova.tv.

Kosovo executive has promised lobbiing for new recognitions, while a final agreement with Serbia and recognition by this neighbouring state is seen as key to recognition by EU member states China, Russia and other states.
