A Ukrainian MP has welcomed sanctions imposed on Russia today, but has called for greater action, including sending troops to the Black Sea.
Yelyzatta Yasko, who is a member of the same party as Ukraine's leader Voldymyr Zelensky, told Sky News: “The sanctions imposed today by Great Britain are great.
We are certainly very happy and grateful for this”.
But she added: “Would it suffice? Of course not. I'm sure there will be more military assistance and perhaps some help on the Black Sea.
“If Great Britain could send, for example, troops or some military vehicles or ships to the Black Sea, it would also be very, very important. ”
She said, among other things, she did not believe [Vladimir Putin] would be stopped east of Ukraine.
