Putin, ready for diplomatic solution but Russia's interests non-negotiable

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that Moscow is ready to seek <x0) diplomatic resolution” for Ukraine, but stressed that the country's interests are non-negotiable. In a speech Wednesday morning to mark Homeland Protector's Day, a public holiday in Russia, Putin said: Our “Our country is always open to dialogue [...]

Our country is always open for direct and honest dialogue, for searching for diplomatic solutions to various problems.” Russia's interests, the safety of our citizens, are non-negotiable to us”

Putin congratulated the country's soldiers, praised the Russian Army's combat readiness and said he was safe for “professionalism” of the army and that they would protect the country's national interests.

His speech comes after Russia's unanimous approval to deploy “peacekeepers” to the two self-declared republics in Luhansk and Donetsk, now known by Moscow as independent.

Putin said Russia will continue developing weapons.

We will continue to develop advanced weapons systems and expand the use of advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence elements.

These are future weapons, which significantly enhance the combat potential of our armed forces”.
