European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the EU would not be involved in further escalation of the situation, as Russian President Vladimir Putin put his nuclear force in a state of readiness.
“We will not continue with this escalation”, Borrell told the BBC.
Russia, at Putin's command, has begun its invasion of Ukraine on February 24th.
Putin told his chiefs of defence Sunday that the nuclear force should be put in a state of readiness, due to the West's “Aggressive appeals”.
